 <\/div>\n\t<div class=\"ct-text-editor-inner elementor-clearfix\">\n\t\t<p>Moin Raza Khan, with a 40-year career in Oil and Gas Exploration and a Master&#8217;s degree from US, served as the MD and CEO of PPL from 2019 to 2022. In his 14 years of corporate management, he significantly contributed to Pakistan&#8217;s E&amp;P sector, discovering 6.1 trillion cubic feet of gas, creating jobs, and fostering community development. Under his leadership, PPL recorded its highest profits in 70 years.<\/p><p>Khan significantly impacted PPL by leading a revival of the Reko Diq Project, the world&#8217;s fifth-largest copper and gold mining venture. His expertise as a Geoscientist\/Mineralogist cum Petroleum Geologist and technical member of the government&#8217;s Reko Diq team was crucial in conducting due diligence, certified by top consultants, which led to unanimous board approval from PPL, OGDCL, and GHPL. This effort saved Pakistan from a US$ 11 billion penalty by ICSD and promises to increase PPL&#8217;s net annual profit by over 80%, equating to USD 170 million, transforming it into a diversified Earth Resource Company for the next 40 years. His leadership was acknowledged with a Performance Excellence Award on 18th June 2022.<\/p><p>Moin Raza Khan, a seasoned E&amp;P industry professional, has published over 40 technical papers and co-authored a book on Pakistan&#8217;s petroleum geology. Recognized as a mentor and coach, many of his prot\u00e9g\u00e9s hold senior positions in the industry. A patriot at heart, Khan&#8217;s journey with PPL began in 1983 as a Junior Geologist, ascending to a Senior Executive after earning a master&#8217;s from the University of Tulsa, USA, and a Gold Medal in M.Sc. Geology. PPL, the country&#8217;s second-largest E&amp;P company, is known for its technical efficiency and lean human resource structure compared to OGDCL, yet it stands as a top revenue and tax contributor.<\/p><p>Moin Raza Khan advanced to Deputy Managing Director\/Chief Operating Officer at PPL, managing all technical operations. With a hiatus from PPL, he enhanced his leadership in senior roles at Union Texas Petroleum, British Lasmo, and Eni Pakistan, gaining international exposure across multiple regions. Returning as General Manager Exploration in 2009, he spurred PPL&#8217;s exploration activities, resulting in numerous discoveries. His extensive training includes an Executive Development Programme at Stanford and a course in Corporate Governance.
